This is a Genuine set of WWII German Mess Kit “Nested” Utensils – Knife, Fork, and Spoon a perfect set for any WWII collector, with maker marks and a Reichsadler mark. The fork an spoon seem to be made entirely of aluminum, and are quite light weight. The knife has an aluminum handle, and the grips of all are inletted so that they stack together, and then are held together with a steel clip on the spoon. The set comes complete with its original brown wool felt case with a snap closure, which is marked with the company logo that looks to read Biuvak or Biulak.
The knife is Stamped ROSTFREI / SOLINGEN. indicating that it is a stainless steel blade made in Solingen, the legendary “City of Blades” in Western Germany. The blade is in very good condition, with almost all the original factory final polish present. The knife handle is also marked with the NSDAP State Eagle (Reichsadler), and the maker name. The fork is unmarked, but the back of the spoon is marked D.R.G.M., indicating that the design was registered in the German trademark office.
All components are in very good condition, with a lot of the original factory finish intact. Ready to display!
