Original Item: Only One Available. The very map used by German bomber navigators during the Battle of Britain and the Blitz in WW2!
This is an excellent example of a completely original soft-laminated aviation map of the southwestern portion of England including London. As was done with many Luftwaffe Fliegerkarte, this map is laminated on some sort of soft laminate making water proof and so it can be folded and unfolded many times without ripping.
The map bears the date September 1940 and is printed at a scale of 1:500,000. The 39 x 36 inch multi-color map features the English Channel and cities, such as London, Bath, and Birmingham.
Because of the period German lamination, this map is still in very nice condition and completely readable. It is one of the 20 maps in the German World War II aerial mapping system of Europe from Tilsit to Timisoara and including England and Ireland.
