Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct leather belt. It is embossed with the wartime Luftwaffe straight tail eagle on a pebbled central field, surrounded by a wreath. The buckle is of 1940 pattern, die stamped, steel construction, with a dark blue/grey painted finish, which is still present on about 50% of the buckle exterior. The rest has worn off due to use, while the interior retains almost all of the paint.
The buckle still still retains the black finished leather tab, which is marked:
B. HAARMANN
1942
LÜDENSCHEID
The leather of the tab is in quite nice shape, with fully intact stitching. There is some wear and finish abrasion, but nothing outside of regular wear and tear.
The belt itself measures about 36” when fully extended, and is marked 90 on one end, for 90cm, which is about 35.4 inches. The leather tab by the buckle on this example is actually maker marked and dated (somewhat faint):
GOTTLIEB SINGER
1942
KLATTAU
The leather is definitely worn, however there are no major cracks or other issues. The outside black finish has worn quite a bit, but it is nothing outside of standard service wear. Overall a great example of a hard to find WWII German Belt. Ready to display!
