Original German WWII Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery EM/NCO Visor Crush Cap by H. Spechtmeyer Original Items

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition German WWII Kriegsmarine Küstenartillerie (Navy Coastal Artillery) EM/NCO Schirmmütze Visor Cap, with a lovely “Crushed” shape. This “saddle-form” shape is highly desirable, and is only achieved on caps with a lot of wear and service. The cap shows high quality fabrication, made with typical feldgrau (Field Gray) green / gray wool with a forest green band and a traditional high front, with matching forest green piping around the top. This is very similar to the Army Heer visor cap, except that there are no corps colors around the green band, and the insignia are Kriegsmarine Gold.

It is decorated with a well detailed gold cast aluminum Reichsadler National Eagle insignia on the peak and and an open gold cast aluminum wreath surrounding a tri-color metal cockade on the band. The cap has the correct black patent leather EM/NCO chin strap with double buckles. The visor / peak on this cap is the typical black-finished “vulcanfibre” pressed composite material.

The cap is lined with tan rayon fabric and still retains the complete leather top diamond, which is over a machine embroidered manufactures label:

The light brown faux leather sweatband is present, but shows wear and has some tearing places where the material has started to come apart. It is however mostly intact, and still quite nice looking. There are also the initials WP stitched into the top of the lining.
