Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic example of the Dorette radio, the last new transceiver designed in the Third Reich. The Germans started producing the “Dorette” in October 1944, seven months before the end of the war. This was a small transceiver that was designed to communicate with the Torn. Fu. d2, 10 W. S.c and the Feldfu. f backpack transceiver.
The Kleinfunksprecher “d” is a highly compact small portable infantry transceiver capable of operation on Tn (Voice) communication. It can be used in networks with the German radio sets Torn. Fu. d2, Torn. Fu. f, and 10 W. S.c.
The set consists of two parts: the apparatus case, worn on the operator’s left shoulder strap, and the battery box worn on the operator’s belt. This is only the transceiver and is missing the battery box. The paint is retained quite well as are all of the various wartime markings, including the radio designation as well as the Operating Instructions panel riveted to the side.
We have not tested this device to see if it is still functional, it is boeing sold purely as a novelty/display item.
Comes more than ready for further research and display.
