Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice “field made” German WWII cap, made using “captured” Italian M29 camo material. This allowed a much better camouflage profile than the standard tan or field gray color. Combined with the comfort of a field cap, they were relatively popular, and many were made in field workshops, so they were produced in countless styles. This example has an elongated front brim for more effective sun protection.
The interior has a soft leather sweatband, apparently made by cutting up a large piece of leather, as indicated by the partial letters stamped on it. The top seams are reinforced with green fabric.
Size is about a 57-58cm (7 1/8 – 7 1/4 US). Very interesting and ready to display!
