Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a very nice collection of German WWII Insignia, which was brought back from the European theater by a USGI after the war was concluded. It includes and armband, some chevrons and other arm patches, and some lovely Panzer items including Breast Eagles and Collar Tabs.
This lovely set includes:
-A very nice yellow Deutsche Wehrmacht armband was worn by uniformed German personnel, who were attached to the Armed Forces during WWII. Often, these were worn by men of the Reichsarbeitsdienst and Reichsbahn who were operating with the German Army in the occupied countries. This is a great example, in very good condition. This Deutsche Wehrmacht armband is a textbook Bevo-style machine embroidered armband.
– TWO Panzer BEVO Breast Eagles. These are both standard BeVo breast eagles, with white thread embroidered on black for Panzer uniforms. One is in slightly better condition than the other.
– PAIR of Wehrmacht Heer Panzertruppe (Armored Corps) NCO Dress Collar Tabs / Patches. Known as Kragenpatte in German, these were attached to the collars to indicate the rank and branch of the wearer. These are the Rose-pink Waffenfarbe (Corps Color) for Armored, Anti-Tank, and Mechanized Infantry troops.
– Nachrichtentruppe des Heeres (Signal Corps) Specialist Badge in the pink Waffenfarbe for the Panzertruppe or anti-tank units.
– Heer Funkmeister (Radio Sergeant) Specialist Badge. In good condition, though it looks to have been glued to paper at one point.
– PAIR of German WWII Ordnungspolizei (Order Police) Collar Tabs / Patches. Known as Kragenpatte in German, these were attached to the collars to indicate the branch of the wearer. These are are green, with a silver bullion border, indicating issue to the German WWII era Order Police.
– TWO Wehrmacht Heer Corporal Sleeve Chevrons. These are both the correct silvered Double Chevrons indicating that they are a Haupt or Obergefreiter with less than 6 years of service. One has had most of the felt backing deteriorate over the years.
– TWO Wehrmacht Heer Private 1st Class Sleeve Patches. These are round patches with a single “pip” in the center, indicating that the enlisted Soldat (Private) was now an Obersoldat (Private First Class).
A wonderful totally genuine grouping perfect for the WW2 German collector.
