Original Item. Only One Available. The Flak 30 (Flugzeugabwehrkanone 30) and improved Flak 38 were 20 mm anti-aircraft guns used by various German forces throughout World War II. It was not only the primary German light anti-aircraft gun, but by far the most produced German artillery piece throughout the war. It was produced in a variety of models, notably the Flakvierling 38 which combined four Flak 38 autocannons onto a single carriage. As with all deactivated ordnance, this item is not available for export.
This German 20mm round is still in its original shipping tube. There are many markings across the shell, on the base, and the fuze. The yellow head is marked P120 17B 1939-115g Wa.A.232 and 19b39. The fuze is marked 11a 673 2cmKpf Z45coc 41. The bottom is marked 39, 2a, P315. These markings date the piece to 1939. The shipping tube lacks any markings but there is a strip of period tape around one end, and three holes in the top. The shell and tube are in fantastic condition, and are perfect for any German WWII display.
The Flak 38 gun was used singularly or in the Quad Vierling 38 mount as an anti-aircraft weapon. The brass cartridge case is percussion primed and retains most of the original lacquer. This is a phenomenal piece with clear markings, don’t miss it.
