Original Item: Only One Available: This early HJ Knife is of initial production, with a good, solid steel base. The nickel-plating is mostly worn away. The grip plates are the early, closely checkered Bakelite type. They are retained by nickel (worn away) rivets with dressed obverse heads.
The scabbard is worn but solid being straight throughout. It has some original black paint with wear and scratching. The leather strap is brown and complete, no breaks. Nevertheless the strap is in good condition, as in the retainer strap. The finger guard is broken off.
The early blade is the style without a motto, or it has worn away. Shows use and age, but its genuine! There are no manufacturer markings.
This is a solid early example at an affordable price.
