Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) EM/NCO’s Belt with an excellent condition Steel Buckle (Koppelschloß). The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOT MIT UNS (“God with us”) surrounding a NSDAP Party Eagle. The buckle a nice 1940 pattern olive painted steel construction box buckle with a smooth background. The paint is present on over 80% of the of the buckle exterior, with just a bit of storage wear. Truly an excellent example.
There is no marking stamped into the metal of the buckle, however it still retains the leather tab, which still has a legible maker mark on the reverse:
J.C. MAEDICKE
* 1941 *
BERLIN
The black finished belt itself measures about 39” in overall length, and is marked 98 on one end, for 98cm, which is about 38.6 inches. It also still has the full manufacturer information stamped onto the clip end:
WALTER DUKSCH
1937
ROR. PETERSDORF / RSGB
Even better, there is a unit number stamped on the inside of the belt near the clip as well, which reads 2. / Bb. 9 II. We are not able to locate information on this specific unit, however Bb. is the abbreviation for Beobachtungsbatterie (observation artillery battery), per the Allied information on German Military Abbreviations compiled in April 1943. The leather of the belt is still supple, and while it does show wear, it is very solid condition, with no tears or other major damage.
A fantastic example of WWII German Heer (Army) Belt with great research potential. Ready to display!
