Original Item: One-of-a-kind. A wonderful personal photo album, marked on the front with the Reichsadler Eagle. Inside the front cover is the standard Erinnerungen an meine Wehrdienstzeit (Memories of my Military Service), message. The back still has a visible maker mark, and the album overall measures approximately 10.5″ x 7.5″.
The first few pages have images of the top brass of the German Wehrmacht, including A H, and overall there are 30 pages in total, without the usual “onion skin” separators to keep the pages from sticking together. There are 18 personal photographs of various sizes, showing all manner of scenes and some even have titles written in Sutterlin underneath them. A few of the pictures feature RAD troops and have English writing on them, making fun of the scenes.
Included with the album is a beautiful WWI era postcard from a soldier in the 8th Infantry Division featuring lovely artwork on the front and cursive sutterlin style script written on the front and back.
This lovely album is ready to be translated and displayed!
