Original Item: Only One Available. This is a superb embroidered breast eagle from a German WWII Heer (Army) Officers Uniform, with the standard green background, with silver bullion embroidery. These were worn on the breast of the uniform tunic, just above and partly on the pocket.
This example was cut off a uniform, complete with the surrounding material, including part of the pocket top flap. The insignia is about 3 1/2″ x 1 5/8″, with the uniform section measuring 4 3/4 x 2 3/8″. The uniform section is the correct Feldgrau (Field gray) colored wool, and the thread used to stitch it the the uniform is the same color.
A great example of a German WWII “Cut Off” eagle, ready to display!
