Original Item: Only One Available. This sword has areas of beautiful gilt over brass finish. The Wrangel design features raised out oak leaves throughout the pommel, back strap, p guard and ferrule. The cross guard is relatively plain, having a raised out, open-winged eagle which looks to the viewer’s left. This art-deco eagle has fine crispness to his eye, breast feathering and raised out swas within a wreath.
The sword is stamped on the under the hilt Ges. Gesch. meaning there was a patent on this design. The grip is tightly wrapped with triple brass wire, the center being twisted.
The scabbard of this example is also in choice condition, having original black paint. This black paint is 90% throughout and still has a bright finish with typical wear for the age.
The blade is an incredible example. It measures over 35 inches and has highest quality nickel plating. This plating is completely mirror bright. The reverse ricasso is stamped with the 1935-41 Einhorn squirrel logo. The original brown leather washer is in place.
This is a wonderful looking sword. If you are looking for a near mint example to hang on the wall, this one should do it!
