Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct leather belt. It is embossed with the wartime Luftwaffe straight tail eagle. Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in very good condition, with the pebbling well retained, and most of the detail in the eagle present. The buckle is faintly marked on the back by the loop J.D., and the leather tab still has the full manufacturers marking and date:
J. DEUTSCHBIEN
1938
EUSKIRCHEN
The belt itself measures about 38” from end to end, though the holes for the buckle stop about 2 inches from the end. It does not have the length adjustment tab usually seen, and does not look like it ever had one. It is faintly stamped 95, for 95cm (37.4in.) on the buckle end, with an unmarked steel clip on the other. The leather is definitely worn, but condition is solid with no holes or tears, and leather is soft and pliable.
Overall a very nice example of a hard to find WWII German Belt and buckle with lots of patina. Ready to display!
