Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct leather belt. It is embossed with the wartime Luftwaffe straight tail eagle. Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in very good condition, with the pebbling in good condition, and most of the detail in the eagle present. The buckle is faintly marked on the back by the loop R. S. & S., and the leather tab still has the full manufacturers marking and date:
R. SIEPER & SÖHNE
1938
LÜDENSCHEID
The belt itself measures about 33” when fully extended, and has been cut down significantly from its original length, which was probably closer to 40″. It also no longer has the length adjustment tab on the back, and the buckle instead is attached to holes going through the belt body itself. The leather is definitely worn, but condition is solid with no holes or tears, and leather is soft and pliable. There is a marking on the aluminum belt clip of OLC, for Overhoff & Cie of Lüdenscheid.
Overall a very nice example of a hard to find WWII German Belt and buckle, field modified with lots of patina. Ready to display!
