Original Items. Only One Pair of Posters Available. This is a great pair of Dutch WWII era posters, one being a poster meant for the German-Occupied Netherlands and one for the Dutch Union.
The first poster is for the German Occupied Netherlands announcing a fundraiser for the WHN, an organization that provided help and support to the needy and weak during WWII, often by raising money through lotteries and collections. This aid organization, founded in October 1940 following the example of the German Winterhilfe, was also used as a National Socialist propaganda institute. The poster features a WHN Can surrounded by different Dutch cities and crests to announce the cities where the fundraiser will be taking place, on October 17-18th. The poster has been folded and has one small tear on the right side and a couple at the bottom. Great piece overall. The poster measures 15” x 20 ⅞”.
The second poster for the Dutch Union depicts the words NEDERLANDSCHE UNIE standing tall with a Dutch lion on top, with the phrase THE BUILDING OF THE DUTCH PEOPLE underneath. This could be for a union of workers or for an anti-German occupation organization. Measures 11 ⅝” x 17 ½”. Great shape with no tears.
This is a great pair of posters ready for further research and display.
