Original Item. Only One Available. Painted in a very attractive ordinance tan, this German Railway conductor/trainman’s lantern or Einheitslanterne 42 has a brass carbide burner. These were primarily used on Railways but were also used in bunkers and camps.
This lantern stands approximately 11.75” inches high if the handle is fully extended upward. It has a wooded carrying handle. The carbide reserve is stored in the cylindrical base that screws off, but unscrewing this is NOT recommended as the substance inside is messy. The lantern is in great condition and is unmarked from what we can see. The paint is about 85% retained and makes for a phenomenal display!
