Original Item: Only One Available. The look of these is iconic! During night time, headlights were necessary on all vehicles, including bicycles, to ensure safe travel. However, even a candle is visible from a long distance away, so Blackout Slit Covers for headlights were used by both sides during WWII to avoid detection. These covers ensured that minimal light was visible from above, a necessity during a night Air Raid, when any light source could become a target. While the light produced was small, it was still enough for slow speed navigation during the blackouts.
This small example is for a bicycle headlight, and measures 3 3/4 inches across, and is made of light rubberized fabric, with an elastic band on the back to hold it in place over the headlight. Quite interesting and ready to display!
