Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht (Heer) Aluminum EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with an original leather belt. It has also been fitted with a very nice Heer 98K dress bayonet by Ernst Pack & Söhne, complete with the correct black leather frog and NCO Troddel knot. A very nice NCO belt set!
The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS (“God (is) with us”) around the Wehrmacht Reichsadler (State Eagle). Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in good condition, and is a two piece example with a clip attached front insignia. It does show some light surface wear, common due to the softer aluminum alloy. It does not look to have been painted at any time, and there are no maker marks on the back.
The leather belt is in very good condition, and measures about 37” when fully extended. It does look to have been cut down and re-stitched a bit during its service life, so it was most likely a bit longer at one point.
The included dress bayonet is in great shape, with nearly 100% nickel plating, with just light runner wear on the blade. The scabbard and frog are in very good condition as well, as is the attached green and silver bullion NCO Troddel knot, tied around the frog.
The rear ricasso of the blade is stamped with the trademark logo of Ernst Pack & Söhne. The mark shows their trademark “Young Siegfried wielding a hammer” Logo to the left of:

Per J. Anthony Carter’s book GERMAN KNIFE AND SWORD MAKERS, this firm used this trademark on Army Officer swords and dress bayonets from the early war period to the middle of the war. They mostly made daggers so there is not as much information regarding the bayonets. The company survived the war, until it was sold in the 1960s to another knife company from Solingen, and the maker mark continued to be used into the 1990s.
A great set with exceptional eye appeal! This would be the perfect addition to any Heer NCO Uniform!
