Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) EM/NCO’s Aluminum Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct leather belt, and original WW2 manufacture triple pouches for the German k98k rifle. Also included is an original WW2 issue map case in great condition. The buckle has an attached embossed badge with the Heer motto GOT MIT UNS (“God with us”). Nice silvered painted aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in very condition, with the rolling marks still visible on the reverse
The belt itself measures 35” when fully extended, and is in excellent condition. The black finish is almost completely intact, with just some wear through at the edges. There are no cracks or tears, and just a bit of rippling in the finish from being bent. There are some ink stamp markings on the back of the belt, but they are unfortunately illegible.
The two black pebble-grain leather pouches included are in good used condition, and do not have any major stitching or leather issues. The finish is somewhat worn, and they definitely show age, but they are in solid condition. The internal separators are still present on one of the pouches, and all of the rivets and snaps are sound. There is some rust to the fittings on the back, due to age. Both are marked on the back with legible Reichsbetriebsnummer number codes. The pouch with the separators is marked: RB – Nr. 0/0365/0012, and the other is marked 0/0560/0055. Both are stuffed with paper to maintain their shape.
The original German WWII M1935 Leather Dispatch & Map Case is also in very good condition, with the black pebble grain leather retaining most of the finish. The leather is still supple, with minimal cracking, and the stitching is all intact. It has a pair of adjustable belt loops with buckles on rear, which still function and are in excellent condition. The interior shows little use, with an intact separator. The inside of the flap is marked with the RB number: RB – Nr. 0/0833/011. For more information see “Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army 19330-1945” pages 150-152, by Angolia & Schucht.
German RBN Numbers, or Reichsbetriebsnummer, also known as the National Business Number, were an alternative to the 3 letter codes in use late in the war. Unfortunately there is no complete listing of these numbers, which only really indicate the region and type of contract it was.
This is a great chance to get an original WW2 complete Heer belt set with map case, marked and in great condition for their age.
