Original Items: Only One Grouping Available. This is a lovely assortment of items dating from 1901 to 1944, consisting mainly of German items but also includes French, Dutch and Belgian coins.
This Lovely Group Consists of:
- WWII War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Crossed Swords
- German WWII SA-Wehrmannschaft Sports Badge in Bronze Grade by Berg and Nolte: Known in German as the sportabzeichen, these were awarded to members of the SA for athletic achievement during the annual sports festivals. These were all part of a larger SA-Wehrmannschaft program, intended to train.
- Silver HJ Postdam-Abzeichen 1932 by F. Hoffstätter of Bonn: The Postdam Badge, instituted September 1932, was issued to all Youth and BDM spectators (bronze) and participants (silver) who attended the 1st NS-Reichsjugendtag at Potsdam on 1st and 2nd October 1932. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been silver washed. The rectangular shaped obverse features a wreathed stagnant swas above the crossguard of a downward pointing broadsword. The sword is above a pebbled backing that reads: “NS 1. Reichsjugendtag 1932”. The full back reverse is maker marked: “F. Hoffstätter Bonn” and “Ges. Gesch.”
