Original Item: Only One Available. This German Military bugle is of all brass construction with nickel silver fittings, typical of German brass instruments. Showing use, it bears substantial dents with some scrapes but is absolutely authentic. It comes complete with its original mouth piece and two suspension rings and with a pleasant tarnished finish overall. There is a “low pitch” adapter between the mouthpiece and instrument.
The body of the horn appears to have been wrapped in some sort of tape or binding that has been removed, leaving binding marks which can be easily polished away.
The Prussian Coat of Arms in an Oval shield displays a Spread Eagle wearing a Crown with F.R. to center. The eagle is holding a Sword and a Sceptre in either claw.
A romantic item from the terrible First World War.
