Original Item: Only One Available. This is the M-1898/05 Butcher Bayonet that was the most common German Bayonet of the First World War. Features a heavy 14.5-inch steel blade with distinct bulge toward the point giving extra weight and power to the business end.
Very nice original grooved wood grip and steel flash guard to hilt. Maker marked:

Company Logo on the back end of the bright shiny blade showing little use and only storage marks.
This bayonet comes in an original all steel butcher scabbard and comes complete with original leather frog maker stamped and dated 1916.
A fine example of what is becoming a difficult bayonet to find in such fine condition, never messed with, just the way we like to find them, ready to display.
