Original Item: Only One Available. A genuine Model 1860 officer Pickelhaube from a Bavarian Artillery Regiment. The helmet typical leather body is in overall very fine condition, without any major dents, or imperfections; metal fittings (cruciform, chin scales, wappen, spike) are all brass exhibiting minor wear without any major issues.
Pickelhaube has correct squared visor typical of the M1860 pattern, correct kokarden on both sides, blue/white Bavarian State (kokarden and Reichs (black/red/white). Interior of the Pickelhaube is in very fine condition, exhibiting moderate use. It has a correct brown leather liner in complete condition. All the metal hardware securing metal fittings are present and period. Overall an exceptional Artillery Officer’s Pickelhaube exhibiting minor use, in very fine condition.
Also included is a very rare totally original red horse hair parade plume in excellent condition making this helmet a truly wonderful example of an early Bavarian Artillery officer Parade Pickelhaube helmet.
