Original Items: Only One Set Available. German manufactured, these are steel basket belt carriers which attach to the feed tray assemblies of the MG 34 or MG 42, held in the correct Transport frame. Each carrier contains one 50 round belt as well as a starter tab. The Transport frame has original WWII period hand painted Panzergrau paint, with what looks to be DAK tan underneath. The two carriers are painted with post war apple green.
The Transport frame itself is very faintly marked wa 43 on the handle end for production at Hugo Schneider AG. They manufactured belts and carrier frames as well as ammunition. They manufactured belts and carrier frames, as well as a large number of flare pistols. The original paint is mostly intact, with the expected chipping and wear from age and service. It measures about 12″ long, 5 3/4″ wide, and 5 1/4″ tall.
The basket belt carriers have both post-war repainted with apple green, and Both drums are in very good structural condition and function correctly. The belts and starter tabs inside are in very good condition, and all bear three letter code cvc on the end.
