Original Item: Only One Available. The 3.7 cm Flak 18/36/37/43 was a series of anti-aircraft cannon produced by Germany that saw widespread service in the Second World War. The cannon was fully automatic and effective against aircraft flying at altitudes up to 4,200 m. The cannon was produced in both towed and self-propelled versions. Having a flexible doctrine, the Germans used their anti-aircraft pieces in ground support roles as well; 37 mm caliber guns were no exception to that.
Made of steel by kjj (Askania Werk AG, Berlin-Friedenau), this anti-aircraft aiming scope was manufactured between 1941 and 1945. Manufacture code and data information is stamped into the sides of this example, which reads:
kjj 1805
Z.F. 3×8° Flak
2cm
Optic is clear with reticule and eye shade. It retains much of the original finish, however it does have overall light rust peppering on the steel body, as shown. Also one of the two screws that holds the eye shade is missing, and also the rubber eye cup is no longer present as well. A very good service used example. ready to display!
NOTE: the optic was pictured with the center screw joint not tightened correctly, so it looks bent. When fully tightened it is straight as it should be.
