Original Items: One of a Kind Pair. These look as if they were worn by ALLADIN but we are assured that is NOT the case. These, often known as CONQUISTADOR STIRRUPS, date to the late 17th century and are known to have been in the HAHN family of Pomerania and Mecklenburg in that they displays the family Coat of arms. This takes the form of a ROOSTER, which in German is a “HAHN”.
Made of heavy brass, we suspect these were full shoe accommodating stirrups and were no doubt comfortable but ungainly. In nice condition, regularly polished on the exterior but totally tarnished to the interior. Original and 300 years of age in our view. Ready to display!
