Original Item. Only One Available. This is a scarcely seen oilcloth kepi rain cover for the French kepis worn during World War II. The oilcloth is in fair shape with some damage as shown, as these were often stored flat causing the oilcloth to crack.
This example has a section in the front meant to cover the visor, so you know which way to apply the cover. The exterior has many small scuffs and damage marks, as well as some plastic stuck in certain spots. The interior is lined with a silk-like material and is all retained. There is a tied string which goes around the brim of the helmet allowing for tightening of the cover around the Kepi. We have not seen many of these before, making this a scarce example.
This comes ready for further research and display.
