Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extremely scarce bayonet scabbard produced for the Finnish Army and Civil Guard. According to Kiesling, the Civil Guard ordered 10,000 bayonets in 1941, most were scrapped in the 1970’s. This example is the scabbard only, not the bayonet.
There is a good amount of verdigris on the metal fittings of the scabbard as shown. The scabbard still retains its lower metal plate and belt loop. This scabbard design is interesting in how the leather securing strap wraps around the crossguard.
This is an extremely scarce scabbard that almost never comes up for sale, let alone on its own. Comes ready for further research and display with your M39 bayonet.
