Original Item: Only One Available. From an old U.S. Collection amassed in the 1950’s and 1960’s having been in storage ever since. A very interesting Continental, either French or Belgian most likely, brass frame and barrel blunderbuss pistol.
Built as a concealable Pocket Pistol this only measures 7 1/2″ in overall length. There is a push/pull safety on the rear of the cock that locks the frizzen as well. Both sides of the frame are engraved with stands of arms but there is no apparent Maker’s name to be found. Nice Cannon barrel swell to front opening to almost an inch in diameter. Appears to be in good working order and condition, not polished in at least 50 years.
Most interestingly still attached to this little blunderbuss is its ORIGINAL ABERCROMBIE & FITCH sales tag describing the item and showing it’s original sales price in the 1960’s of $295.00, which was then a considerable sum.
Ready to Display with old Sales Tag and all.
