Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition Czechoslovakian Vz.30 Signal Pistol that was manufactured for the Czech military in 1937. The Czech military “rampant lion” acceptance proofs are marked on both barrel and frame. The breech is marked ČESKÁ ZBROJOVKA AKC.SPOL. V PRAZE 11491 Vz.30 and on the left hand side of the frame it is marked 37 for 1937.
It chambers 26.5mm flares and has a 5″ barrel. The design is quite unique and quality of craftsmanship is high. There is a hinged breech block which swings open to access the chamber. The hammer is thumb cocked and drops down to allow the pistol to be loaded. The trigger is single-action. The barrel and breech block are both easily removable without tools and the inner workings are accessible through a hinged door on the left side of the frame.
Overall condition is excellent with almost all the original blueing intact. The one-piece walnut grips are in very good condition with some minor impressions. The pistol is in perfect mechanical condition and includes the often missing firing pin.
These well made signal pistols were produced in rather limited numbers but saw use throughout WWII, mostly with German forces.
