Original Item: These helmets were manufactured nearly identically to the specifications of the US WW2 M1 Helmet. The Danish M.48 (model 1948) was a NATO contract helmet and every shell was manufactured either in Austria by the Ulbrichts firm or in Germany by the Linnemann-Schnetzer firm. Steel shell features a classic steel pot shape with rear seam, swivel bails (chinstrap connection points) and a canvas chin strap with steel claw connector.
These were originally fitted with M1 Style liners, but those were removed / lost over the years. These were also all painted with textured OD Green paint, over the original slate blue colored paint. Each helmet shell is well used, but overall in very good condition and are quite serviceable. Each shows typical scuffs, scraps, and minor dings from long-term storage.
These would be perfect for pairing with a surplus liner for a WWII, Korean War, or Vietnam War impression.
