Original Item: Only One Available. Original Civil War Era State of New York Artillery Dress Coat with Tails. This is a blue single-breasted tail coat featuring three rows of eight New York State Seal buttons on the front. The 1″ high collar bears attractive red piping. Each cuff has three NY State Seal cuff buttons which are sewn upon a red colored scalloped base. The back splits into two narrow tails. Two NY State buttons are positioned at the waist above the split. A four-cuff-button ornament similar to that on the sleeves is found on each tail. The tails themselves are decorated to appear as older-style gathered tails.
Interior is lined in a cream colored cotton. The coat shows moderate wear. There are minor splits and tears to the lining on the interior. The outside remains very attractive (especially with all the brass buttons and red highlights).
