Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition late war 1945 dated multi-panel construction Irving style flying jacket which is complete with a Broad Arrow marked label.
This thermally Insulated Flying Suit, Jacket is in approximately a size US 40. The leather is in excellent overall condition retaining much of the original finish and flexibility. There is light wear, abrasion but very minor and consistent with age. There are no holes, tears or repairs and the binding seams appear are tight. Excellent short dense fur lining and collar facing. Both cuffs and waist retain very good fur. All zippers are period. The main zip is D-O-T branded, the sleeve sliders also being A.M. (Air Ministry) marked. The belt is complete and in excellent condition. Also has the original chain hanger, collar strap rings and eyelets to the rear of the collar for the collar strap which is also present (often missing). With fantastic large Broad Arrow, 40288 JACKET linen label dated 1945. Overall, a very excellent genuine example of a WW2 Royal Air Force Irving flying jacket in a large size. Talk about hard to find!!!
