Original Items: One of a Kind Grouping. This is a great British WII Officer’s grouping, named to Lt. Robert Stewart Wallace of the Royal Engineers. It has many of the items he used during service, such as his uniform tunic and peaked cap, as well as many other issue items. All is contained in his white painted wooden military trunk, stenciled with his name and details, which measures a substantial 45”L x 16 ½”W x 13”H.
The trunk contains the following items:
– Lt. Wallace’s Royal Engineer’s Uniform Tunic, complete with the original Tailor’s label from Bombay, India.
– Lt. Wallace’s Royal Engineers Peaked Cap, with the correct Regimental Badge on front. This was made by J. COLLETT Ltd. In London.
– Lt. Wallace’s officer sword in scabbard, complete with a leather “Sam Browne” officer’s belt rig and sword hanger. The sword is marked SHEFFIELD and the whole set is in very good matured condition.
– An original camp cot, folded up for storage and transport.
– A photo album and multiple papers pass books, brochures and miscellaneous paperwork relating to his service in India during WWII.
A very nice archive of an Officer’s service, contained in a very attractive transit chest. A great research opportunity for any aspiring collector, as well as a great display set!
NOTE: Mannequin is not included, and only used to display the uniform and accessories.
