[Broad Arrow]With a diameter of 1.5 inches this takes four D batteries and is fully operational.
The lens protrudes like as “eye” taking up the entire 1.5 diameter of the instrument. The spring loaded ON/OFF button located directly behind the lens has a floating type Morse key that allows signaling with dots and dashes extremely easy.
The body is covered by an imitation pebbled finish black leather and the mounts all appear to be nickel plated brass including a substantial brass belt hook which shows wear under it’s worn black enamel pant finish.
Fully functional when complete with batteries, extremely early 1939 WW2 production,
officially delivered to the British Military (Broad Arrow), serial numbered and maker
marked.
