Original Items: Only One Available. This is a genuine fully functional Type F British World War Two field telephone, constructed of bakelite and housed in its original wooden transit case with khaki canvas carry strap. These were Constructed in the early 1940s during WW2 by various contractors. The case is nicely marked:

The phone appears to be complete, with all internal wiring intact. There is even a battery converter installed so that two “D” cells can be used to power it. The top of the phone is marked: TELEPHONE SET “F” MK.II G.E.C., indicating production by The General Electric Company of Britain. G.E.C. was a major manufacturer of telephones and other telecommunication devices during the 20th century.
The bakelite handset is in great condition, and is marked P.L. / TELE.HAND.No.1 / 1942. The canvas carry strap is marked B.B. & Co. 1942, along with stock number Y.A. 1532. The interior of the box lid has a data plate on the inside with instructions on the operation of the phone.
Complete phones in excellent condition such as this are becoming increasingly hard to find.
