Original Item: Only One Available. In good working order these are a pair of POWER X 6 binoculars, as often used by Officers while overseeing the soldiers under their command. These are in very good condition, fully functional and with majority of the black paint still intact. Both eyepiece cups are still present, though the right side has a chip. These seem to be brass and zinc or steel construction, and come complete with the original rubber neck strap, though it may be post war. Optics are clear, though a little dirty, and both diopter adjustments work correctly.
The Left Barrel is marked on the base plate with the specifications:
BINO. PRISM No.2 MK.II
X 6
No. 178532
The Right Barrel is marked on the base plate with manufacture information:
GRATICULES 1/2° APART
AND 1/4°, 1/2°, AND 1° HIGH
KERSHAW
1943
O,S,108-MA
The binoculars come in a very nice burgundy velvet lined leather carry case, which looks to have a makers mark on the inside lid. It was originally probably in paint, which has unfortunately flaked away. We think we can see the name “ROSE” at the top. It still has an intact shoulder strap, as well as the closure strap and buckle. It shows wear commensurate with age.
A very nice set of WWII British Binoculars, complete with case!
