Original Item. Only One Available. This is an original Official AIR MINISTRY marked R.A.F. FLAG used at ROYAL AIR FORCE Stations and Air Fields during WWII. The “field” of the flag is a very nice aqua color with a large R.A.F. Red/White/Blue Rondel in the center, with a British Union Jack in the upper left-hand “canton” next to the header. The size of of 18 x 34 is marked on the flag header, which is dated 1940 over the CROWN / A.M. marking of the Air Ministry. There is also the maker city of OXFORD / ENGLAND and another very faint 1940 on the header as well.
The cotton flag appears free of Moth or other damage, and has clear colors with little bleed over. It definitely could use a good ironing, as it is creased from poor folding. It also has some dirt worn into the header from storage. In very good condition, still has its cords to top and bottom for attachment. Ready to display!
