Designed for a large and awkward pistol, the holster is correctly secured by brass washer rivets along its entire inner side. The holster is maker marked and dated on the back of one of the belt loops:

This large right angle shaped Webley Self-Loading Naval pistol presented a real problem with its awkward shape this was what the British Navy came up with. The pistols are very scarce, the holsters much rarer. In complete original condition the brown leather shows use and deterioration. Even in this worn state, these are still rare and desirable.
