Original Items: These three Only. These came from a great Manor House Estate Sale in England and all date to the to the 1800’s, possibly to the late 1700’s. Extremely decorative being all made of Copper and Brass these were a vital shooting accessory back in the time of Muzzle Loaders. All three have functional powder dispenser tabs, with clock spring closure, with dispenser spouts marked in DRAMS. These spouts are adjustable, however years of polishing and oil have resulted in them being frozen at present, though they could easily be freed for use.
The first is bag shaped and is stamped SYKES PATENT, standing 8″ tall. The second, of similar size, is decorated with a charming lattice design of a hunters net and the third just slightly smaller at almost 7″ tall is embossed on both sides with a hunting dog sitting with a retrieved hare.
All are original and of the period and can polish up wonderfully. Ready to display, the three as a group.
