Original Item: Only One Available. Directly out of the attic! This is an original Victorian Era Leather and brass bullion covered sword belt, as used by Officers in the Royal Navy. The belt measures approximately 48 inches in overall length, so this was probably for a rather sizeable officer. It has the correct “fouled anchor” on the belt buckle, topped with the “Queen’s Crown” for Queen Victoria. There are two removable straps for attaching to the sword’s scabbard. There is also the usual hook next to one hanger, for holding the sword vertical when needed.
The belt is constructed of leather and bullion over fabric, and is in very good shape considering the age. There is some wear, but no structural damage, and all the hooks and buckles are intact. A lovely old belt, well over 100 years of age. Ready to display, or even wear!
