Original Item: Only One Available. During the early 1980’s The British company “Collector’s Heritage” produced 200 copies of this model Sword for the Collector’s Market, now all long gone.
IMA had supplied the original sample, which was later returned, and this is it!
This Sword was issued to the 1st Life Guards and is so indicated by the brass # 1 incorporated between the letters L and G under the Victorian crown on the bowl guard. It retains the original sharkskin grip, copies had leather grips, and the blade is maker marked to the London Company of HAWKES & CO.
Comes complete with original matched brass mounted steel scabbard that has some initials on the top mount, making this an extremely rare sword from the early Victorian period.
