Original Item: One Set Only. Directly out of the attic! this is an original Crimean War era Artillery Officer’s Cross belt and document pouch. Mounted in sterling silver the pouch bear’s Queen Victoria’s Crown and three Cannons denoting use by an Officer of Artillery. The gold and silver “gimp” embroidery is all fine but the background navy blue cloth has suffered some moth damage.
The Cross belt has all its silver buckles and sliders in place however the silver is all very tarnished, almost black. In the current setup it measures approximately 40 inches in total length, but could probably be set up longer.
A lovely old set probably 170 years of age. Ready to display.
