Original Item: Only One Available. This probably started life as an English made big game rifle that was shipped to India in the 1850s. It is rifled and the muzzle shows multiple lands and grooves. The rifle has seen a lot of use and has been serviced and restored in Nepal. The percussion hammer on the back action lock is a typical replacement. The barrel is heavy and octagonal and has three tier folding sights. The steel mounts are engraved and the wood stock has some repairs along both sides of the barrel. The gun is half stocked and the two front ramrod pipes are brass replacements. The ramrod is absent. In its day this was a formidable rifle which could easily handle a Tiger or similar game.
Offered in cleaned and restored condition.
