Original Item: Only One Available. These bayonets were intended to serve as the “Every man Tool” and unfortunately were not a success. Consequently the next run of bayonet scabbards were made without the folding saw, wire cutters, etc and the bayonet was issued with a “stripped” Scabbard. The scabbard apparently snagged on items in the field, so an outer “carrier” was introduced housing both bayonet and its stripped scabbard. This carrier is made of canvas type Olive Drab material over plastic, and is marked:-
FROG BAYONET
