Original Items: Only One Set Available. The Royal Warwickshire Regiment was raised by William III in 1674 and arrived in England with the Prince of Orange in 1688, where they were known as “The Dutch Guards”. It became the 6th regiment of foot and by 1782 was also being referred to as the first Warwickshire regiment. The regiment occupied New York in 1776; saw service with Wellington during the Peninsula Wars, 1809-1813, and during the 19th century was stationed on the Northwest Frontier and took part in the Battle of Omdurman outside Khartoum in 1898. During the regimental reorganization of 1881 when regimental numbers were done away with the official name became the Royal Warwickshire regiment.
This fine set consists of an officer’s red tunic, marked up to a second Lieutenant and comes complete with matching wide red stripe officer’s coveralls (pants) with buckles under the instep and the correct officer’s blue cloth spiked helmet bearing the Regimental Helmet plate with the motto:

Also included is a white buff waist belt is a brass buckle that reads:
