Original Item: Made surplus some years ago these are the current issue Bobby helmets from the English county of Derbyshire. Each Bobby Helmet comes complete with liner, chinstrap, and while it has been issued, is in excellent collectible condition.
The helmet silhouette often referred to as a comb top and bears the Derbyshire Coat of Arms in the center of the silver helmet plate. Now withdrawn from government sale, for security reasons, these Bobby Helmets have become extremely scarce.
Sizes vary and liners are somewhat adjustable, most fit US sizes 7 to 7 3/8.
Derbyshire (abbreviated Derbys or Derbs) is a county in the East Midlands of England. A substantial portion of the Peak District National Park lies within Derbyshire. The southern extremity of the Pennine range of hills extends into the north of the county. The county contains part of the National Forest, and borders on Greater Manchester to the northwest, West Yorkshire to the north, South Yorkshire to the northeast, Nottinghamshire to the east, Leicestershire to the southeast, Staffordshire to the west and southwest and Cheshire also to the west.
