Original Item: Only One Available. In full working order, this is an very nice WWI Era British Royal Flying Corps pocket watch, mounted into a leather wrist band for use while flying. During the early days of these were very common, as “wrist watches” were not commonly issued at the time, so special wristbands were made to carry them.
The watch can be removed from the leather band, which has had the stitching completely tear out on one side. The small watch has a blued steel case, with a brass winding dial and time set button. The case on the back opens up as a stand, and is marked on the inside with serial number 50350 20. There are no other markings we can see.
This is the real thing and still in full working condition. Ready to use or display!
The Royal Flying Corps was Britain’s Air Force’s title during the First World War. It only became known as the “Royal Air Force” on April 1st, 1918, not long before the war ended on November 11th 1918.
There is no warranty for this watch and returns for a non-working watch will not be honored. Please note all watches are wound and tested then recorded on video before shipment. We are not in the watch repair business- ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
