Original Items: One-of-a-kind Set. This is a set of four powder flasks that date from he 19th century. We believe their origin is English and each is constructed of brass with decorative embossing. They are as follows:
– Black painted brass with embossed hunting scene of hunter and dog. Measures 8″ x 3″ with functional spout and release lever.
– Brass with embossed fountain decoration, excellent patina. Measures 9″ x 3.7″ with functional spout and release lever.
– Brass with embossed fluted decoration, excellent patina. Measures 9″ x 3.5″ with functional spout and release lever and string lanyard.
– Brass with embossed stag decoration, excellent patina. Measures 8″ x 34″ with missing spout and functional release lever.
Dating anywhere in the first half of the 19th century, these most likely were made between 1820 and 1850 in England. Offered as found, uncleaned and showing some minor dents, as they came out of the attic, a totally honest all brass powder flask collection with 150 years of age!
